Narrative:
On dec/xa/06 (between the hours of XA12-XB30 local) I was assigned and working the east arrival position; responsible for runway 9L arrs on a runway 9R and runway 9L runway confign for ord. As per a letter written by C90 management; I was turning base leg at 22 mi in order to be established on runway 9L and on the monitor by 18 mi. Along with this procedure and as per a letter written by the C90 atm; I had to advise every aircraft that left the ord class B airspace and the parallel monitor had to advise every aircraft of re-entering the ord class B airspace. The workload was tiresome; tedious and doubled because of this requirement. The pilots were confused by this advisory. The foreign pilots just didn't understand the advisory. The ord class B airspace needs to be extended out to at least 25 mi west of ord; possibly out to a 30 mi radius of ord. Traffic management has the finals at ord typically out to 25 or 30 mi anyway.

ALONG WITH THIS PROC AND AS PER A LETTER WRITTEN BY THE C90 ATM; I HAD TO ADVISE EVERY ACFT THAT LEFT THE ORD CLASS B AIRSPACE AND THE PARALLEL MONITOR HAD TO ADVISE EVERY ACFT OF RE-ENTERING THE ORD CLASS B AIRSPACE.
