Narrative:

Was flying the teardrop VOR 6 approach into georgetown; guyana. Aircraft was turning outbound on 224 degree radial after crossing VOR. Waypoint was deleted by first officer. I asked what happened -- he said I should have briefed him better. He then started badgering me about not following procedures. This badgering continued until touchdown which also helped cause the rest of incident. He then started rolling the aircraft with the heading bug and changed my airspeed with the bug. I told him to leave them alone since the autoplt was still on. He then badgered more about not following procedures. I think he also turned the autothrottles off at some point. I called for gear and landing flaps. During turn from base to final we got a shaker several times. I fire-walled thrust levers and leveled wings. First officer was shouting at me; 'see; this is what happens when you don't follow procedures.' after the recovery I then continued approach to a landing as I did not understand/know the first officer's state of mind. I felt it would be more safe to get aircraft on the ground as fast as possible. I had been having problems with this first officer for 3 days. The director of operations had been notified each day. He had told me there had been previous problems with this individual. I feel this company has put money ahead of safety by not replacing/firing him before now.

Title: VERBAL ALTERCATION BTWN B737-800 FLT CREW RESULTS IN NEAR LOSS OF ACFT CTL DURING NON PRECISION APCH MANEUVERING.

Narrative: WAS FLYING THE TEARDROP VOR 6 APCH INTO GEORGETOWN; GUYANA. ACFT WAS TURNING OUTBOUND ON 224 DEG RADIAL AFTER XING VOR. WAYPOINT WAS DELETED BY FO. I ASKED WHAT HAPPENED -- HE SAID I SHOULD HAVE BRIEFED HIM BETTER. HE THEN STARTED BADGERING ME ABOUT NOT FOLLOWING PROCS. THIS BADGERING CONTINUED UNTIL TOUCHDOWN WHICH ALSO HELPED CAUSE THE REST OF INCIDENT. HE THEN STARTED ROLLING THE ACFT WITH THE HDG BUG AND CHANGED MY AIRSPD WITH THE BUG. I TOLD HIM TO LEAVE THEM ALONE SINCE THE AUTOPLT WAS STILL ON. HE THEN BADGERED MORE ABOUT NOT FOLLOWING PROCS. I THINK HE ALSO TURNED THE AUTOTHROTTLES OFF AT SOME POINT. I CALLED FOR GEAR AND LNDG FLAPS. DURING TURN FROM BASE TO FINAL WE GOT A SHAKER SEVERAL TIMES. I FIRE-WALLED THRUST LEVERS AND LEVELED WINGS. FO WAS SHOUTING AT ME; 'SEE; THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DON'T FOLLOW PROCS.' AFTER THE RECOVERY I THEN CONTINUED APCH TO A LNDG AS I DID NOT UNDERSTAND/KNOW THE FO'S STATE OF MIND. I FELT IT WOULD BE MORE SAFE TO GET ACFT ON THE GND AS FAST AS POSSIBLE. I HAD BEEN HAVING PROBS WITH THIS FO FOR 3 DAYS. THE DIRECTOR OF OPS HAD BEEN NOTIFIED EACH DAY. HE HAD TOLD ME THERE HAD BEEN PREVIOUS PROBS WITH THIS INDIVIDUAL. I FEEL THIS COMPANY HAS PUT MONEY AHEAD OF SAFETY BY NOT REPLACING/FIRING HIM BEFORE NOW.
