Narrative:
FAA investigation incorrect seats were installed on air carrier X. We reinstalled seats 10 ab; 11 abc and 12 abc in the order positioned in the cabin. In reference to maintenance manual 25-22-94 and to ensure published dimensions and break over; the seats were removed for access for other maintenance. The same seats were reinstalled as laid out on the opposite side of cabin. Suspect seat assemblies incorrect when removed for maintenance. Never assume the right parts were installed originally.
