Narrative:
Dec/wed/06; crew report l-hand nose tire pressure low. Replaced nose tire on gate per maintenance manual. Didn't recall anything missing when installing tire. On dec/tue/06; mechanic report l-hand nose tire missing axle nut spacer. He replaced spacer and inspected axle; no damage noted. He notified our department maintenance manager of what he found.

Title: A B767-300 WAS DISPATCHED AFTER A NOSE LNDG GEAR WHEEL AND TIRE ASSEMBLY HAD BEEN REPLACED. DOWN-LINE STATION RPTS FINDING AXLE SPACER MISSING.
Narrative: DEC/WED/06; CREW RPT L-HAND NOSE TIRE PRESSURE LOW. REPLACED NOSE TIRE ON GATE PER MAINT MANUAL. DIDN'T RECALL ANYTHING MISSING WHEN INSTALLING TIRE. ON DEC/TUE/06; MECH RPT L-HAND NOSE TIRE MISSING AXLE NUT SPACER. HE REPLACED SPACER AND INSPECTED AXLE; NO DAMAGE NOTED. HE NOTIFIED OUR DEPT MAINT MGR OF WHAT HE FOUND.
