Narrative:
On arrival we were informed of a mechanical on another flight and that those passenger may go with us. The actual boarding process for our flight was slow and chaotic. I talked with the agents and told them to take the time they needed to get everybody on board. I further explained we would go when they were ready. As we finished up our checklists and other duties we received our load close out. At about that moment; the agent appeared and informed me that they had received a call from loads and were instructed to get the plane out so no more passenger would be boarded. I reminded her to check our close out and to send the new data in and we would retrieve it via ACARS. We pushed; started; taxied and sent for a new close out. Our original. We figured this was correct because the agent had explained nobody else would be boarded. After takeoff; we received the message deleting our close out. Our close out was revised and we continued to dfw.supplemental information from 723700: I received the message 14 minutes after the flight was in the air. The initial closeout had shown 102 passenger. After a call from psp agents to load agent; a revised closeout for 121 passenger was sent to the flight.
