Narrative:
Taxi in to gate was normal with verification by right wing walker of wingtip clearance (thumbs up). Entry door opening delayed. Upon communication with operations; delay due to the need to move the aircraft at the next gate because of the proximity of wingtips due to aircraft being improperly parked. Aircraft at gate repositioned and our passenger then unloaded. Upon further questioning of operations; they indicated that our wingtip had passed under the wingtip of the aircraft at the other gate. When questioned if the wings had touched; their initial response was negative. A later call to operations indicated that the wingtips might have touched. Personal visual inspection revealed what looked like a rub mark on the underside of the winglet of the other aircraft.
