Narrative:
We were operating ZZZ-phx climbing out of ZZZ passing through 24000 ft when we had a loud bang and jolt. We lost our left engine and returned to ZZZ. Upon returning to ZZZ we found out we had lost our N1 fan and our entire cowling from the left engine. No one was hurt and no loss of aircraft separation occurred as a result of our descent immediately following the engine failure.
