Narrative:
On departure the #1 flight attendant was using oven. She heard a sparking sound; saw smoke; and smelled electrical smoke. She turned the oven off. The cockpit crew was not informed of this until descent and we never smelled smoke. I am writing this report to hopefully get the word out to flight attendants that any suspected electrical problem must be reported immediately to the cockpit. I debriefed the #1 flight attendant regarding this incident and I believe no other action is necessary.
