Narrative:
Upon arrival at sdf we were given runway 35L for landing. After landing we requested and were given an exit on runway 29. We contacted ground control and told them ramp 11. We were told to 'taxi to the ramp.' a right turn was made on taxiway B. Before I had a chance to straighten out the nosewheel I looked to my right and noticed a taxi light coming from the direction of taxiway F. A nanosecond later I realized it was an airbus that was crossing runway 35L on taxiway F and I estimated his taxi speed was about 25 KTS. At that velocity he was not going to stop in time to keep from hitting us and I applied full braking to stop the airplane just short of taxiway F. The airbus never slowed down and never made a call on ground as to the status of our aircraft. Ground control never warned us of his position or told us to give way as he crossed the runway. I firmly believe that if we had not stopped short of taxiway F we would have swapped paint. We did not contact ground but we did hear the controller tell another aircraft that he 'had aircraft going everywhere.' not knowing if we had been at fault we taxied in and parked the aircraft before reviewing what had happened. We all agreed that there was never a clearance given for us to hold short of taxiway F or for the airbus to hold short of taxiway B.

Title: B747 HAS CLOSE ENCOUNTER WITH AIRBUS WHILE TAXIING AT SDF.
Narrative: UPON ARR AT SDF WE WERE GIVEN RWY 35L FOR LNDG. AFTER LNDG WE REQUESTED AND WERE GIVEN AN EXIT ON RWY 29. WE CONTACTED GND CTL AND TOLD THEM RAMP 11. WE WERE TOLD TO 'TAXI TO THE RAMP.' A R TURN WAS MADE ON TXWY B. BEFORE I HAD A CHANCE TO STRAIGHTEN OUT THE NOSEWHEEL I LOOKED TO MY R AND NOTICED A TAXI LIGHT COMING FROM THE DIRECTION OF TXWY F. A NANOSECOND LATER I REALIZED IT WAS AN AIRBUS THAT WAS XING RWY 35L ON TXWY F AND I ESTIMATED HIS TAXI SPD WAS ABOUT 25 KTS. AT THAT VELOCITY HE WAS NOT GOING TO STOP IN TIME TO KEEP FROM HITTING US AND I APPLIED FULL BRAKING TO STOP THE AIRPLANE JUST SHORT OF TXWY F. THE AIRBUS NEVER SLOWED DOWN AND NEVER MADE A CALL ON GND AS TO THE STATUS OF OUR ACFT. GND CTL NEVER WARNED US OF HIS POS OR TOLD US TO GIVE WAY AS HE CROSSED THE RWY. I FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT IF WE HAD NOT STOPPED SHORT OF TXWY F WE WOULD HAVE SWAPPED PAINT. WE DID NOT CONTACT GND BUT WE DID HEAR THE CTLR TELL ANOTHER ACFT THAT HE 'HAD ACFT GOING EVERYWHERE.' NOT KNOWING IF WE HAD BEEN AT FAULT WE TAXIED IN AND PARKED THE ACFT BEFORE REVIEWING WHAT HAD HAPPENED. WE ALL AGREED THAT THERE WAS NEVER A CLRNC GIVEN FOR US TO HOLD SHORT OF TXWY F OR FOR THE AIRBUS TO HOLD SHORT OF TXWY B.
