Narrative:

Departed the gate and taxied to de-ice spot; parked and shut down both engines. They started to de-ice us with a boom truck on either side of the aircraft. We felt something hit the aircraft twice. I called the iceman and they said a truck had hit the aircraft. The captain opened up the side window and saw the truck under the left wing. We called for a fire truck as we were not sure of the amount of damage. We called our operations and asked for a tug. The boom truck after talking to our ground guy was still stuck under the left wing. The tug pulled us forward and we got free from the truck. After returning to the gate I looked at the damage; left outboard edge had been torn and pushed up. The ground crew were outstanding handling the situation. Please pass that on.
