Narrative:
At 3000 ft; 2 mi northeast of mitoe (the OM for runway 29 at oak); I noticed a bright green light on the ground about 1 - 1 1/2 mi away at our 11 O'clock position. It swept back and forth across the airplane several times before it disappeared under the nose. As soon as I recognized what it was I closed my eyes; but I'd already been lasered. My vision was disrupted for 3-4 mins after the exposure and cleared up pretty well just before we landed. Oak tower was informed of the incident immediately and their questions were answered; a follow=up phone call was made to tower after landing and further details were passed.
