Narrative:
On jan/thu/07; air carrier X grounded at ZZZ with items: 1) hydraulic filter pop-out indication positive; 2) forward cargo door is not working; and 3) main cabin door emergency light inoperative. This aircraft was grounded. Maintenance control on duty gave the instruction to the mechanic at the station to work the items. For the #1 item was balanced with reset pop-out indication with the wrong job instruction card information; #2 item was deferred on MEL and the MEL placard was not properly filled. #3 item was balanced with repaired loose pin at connector with the wrong job instruction card. This event occurred because maintenance control did not follow the company procedures and gpm procedure; in accordance with gpm section unscheduled maintained non-routine items on company aircraft. These items must be considered simple in nature; and not required complicated action to complete. Maintenance control shall be responsible to coordination with the person performing the maintenance of the required task. Maintenance control through the captain shall ensure the aml is properly signed off.
