Narrative:
I was on approach to landing at camas airport (1w1) when I encountered C.a.T. The airplane was rolled to the left and the nose pitched up. I recovered and experienced a second rolling; pitching event. I throttled back and descended in slow flight with a nose up attitude and landed without incident. The camas airport is directly below the heavy jet traffic arriving and departing pdx. I assume this event was caused by wake turbulence or a wing tip vortex from a transport airplane arriving or departing pdx.

Title: ARRIVING AT 1W1 A P18 PLT ENCOUNTERS UNCOMMANDED PITCH AND ROLL THAT HE ASSUMES IS RELATED TO WAKE FROM ACFT AT NEARBY PDX.
Narrative: I WAS ON APCH TO LNDG AT CAMAS ARPT (1W1) WHEN I ENCOUNTERED C.A.T. THE AIRPLANE WAS ROLLED TO THE L AND THE NOSE PITCHED UP. I RECOVERED AND EXPERIENCED A SECOND ROLLING; PITCHING EVENT. I THROTTLED BACK AND DSNDED IN SLOW FLT WITH A NOSE UP ATTITUDE AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. THE CAMAS ARPT IS DIRECTLY BELOW THE HEAVY JET TFC ARRIVING AND DEPARTING PDX. I ASSUME THIS EVENT WAS CAUSED BY WAKE TURB OR A WING TIP VORTEX FROM A TRANSPORT AIRPLANE ARRIVING OR DEPARTING PDX.
