Narrative:
An inbound C172 reported a waterspout about 1 NM north of opana point; maui island; hawaii. I immediately forwarded the report to the tower; and called honolulu AFSS for an urgent PIREP. I used the words 'urgent PIREP' on the line to AFSS. I stated '1 NM north of opana point; on the island of maui a C172 reports a waterspout.' I also verbally informed the watch supervisor. The urgent PIREP was never disseminated within the facility via gi message or via the ace-ids information display system. Shortly thereafter I was relieved and went home for the day. I checked the NWS website for PIREPS going back 3 hours; and found no trace of the urgent PIREP I had forwarded. Apparently this PIREP was never placed in the system by honolulu AFSS.

Title: ZHN CTLR EXPRESSED FRUSTRATION WITH LACK OF DISSEMINATION ON PIREP INVOLVING WATER SPOUT.
Narrative: AN INBOUND C172 RPTED A WATERSPOUT ABOUT 1 NM N OF OPANA POINT; MAUI ISLAND; HAWAII. I IMMEDIATELY FORWARDED THE RPT TO THE TWR; AND CALLED HONOLULU AFSS FOR AN URGENT PIREP. I USED THE WORDS 'URGENT PIREP' ON THE LINE TO AFSS. I STATED '1 NM N OF OPANA POINT; ON THE ISLAND OF MAUI A C172 RPTS A WATERSPOUT.' I ALSO VERBALLY INFORMED THE WATCH SUPVR. THE URGENT PIREP WAS NEVER DISSEMINATED WITHIN THE FACILITY VIA GI MESSAGE OR VIA THE ACE-IDS INFO DISPLAY SYS. SHORTLY THEREAFTER I WAS RELIEVED AND WENT HOME FOR THE DAY. I CHKED THE NWS WEBSITE FOR PIREPS GOING BACK 3 HRS; AND FOUND NO TRACE OF THE URGENT PIREP I HAD FORWARDED. APPARENTLY THIS PIREP WAS NEVER PLACED IN THE SYS BY HONOLULU AFSS.
