Narrative:

Approaching 38K I did a low pass over runway 17 to check for obstructions. Determined the runway was clear and suitable for landing. Proceeded to downwind again viewing runway. Turn to base as normal and then turned final to runway 17. Slight winds from south as final approach was executed. All things appeared normal to flare when I caught a glimpse of the deer entering the runway from the west. I immediately added power and raised my right wing in an effort to clear the animal. I was still airborne when the deer ran into the side of the plane. After the initial realization that I was still able to control the plane I executed a normal landing.
