Narrative:
The mask is too big for the storage box. Defective oxygen mask on captain's side. While stowing the mask; during descent into kona; hi; the oxygen line broke at the regulator. This mask is really a tight fit for the oxygen storage box. First officer was flying and we continued to koa with an uneventful landing. I was stowing the oxygen mask when the line broke from the regulator. Once the oxygen line broke; I closed the oxygen box lid to stop the oxygen from flowing. Rethink having the full face mask on the 'new' B757/B737 fleet. Maybe change back to the original mask that the other aircraft use.
