Narrative:
After landing on runway 17L we cleared the active at D3. After clearing; ground control instructed us to taxi via delta and hold short of taxiway kilo. The taxi was briefed as 'delta hold short of taxiway kilo.' as we approached G6 intersection an MD88 was holding short of the runway. The airport profile shows taxiway delta continuing around the corner and stopping at an intersection with taxiway november. We continued around the corner since no signage adjacent to taxiway delta; prior to the D6 intersection; showed an intersection with taxiway kilo. There was signage for taxiway november and papa; however; there was another aircraft taxiing to taxiway kilo towards the runway. Since we had turned the corner we wound up facing each other which is what ground control was trying to avoid. Luckily there was enough room for us to pull over to the left on taxiway november and allow the aircraft to pass. As we continued to the gate we saw signage for taxiway kilo on the north side of the taxiway. Perhaps the MD88 had blocked a sign for taxiway kilo and we couldn't see it. But the chart for sdf is a little misleading.

Title: CRJ200 CAPT RPTS CONFUSION WITH TXWY CHARTING AT SDF; AND A LACK OF SIGNS FOR TXWY K.
Narrative: AFTER LNDG ON RWY 17L WE CLRED THE ACTIVE AT D3. AFTER CLRING; GND CTL INSTRUCTED US TO TAXI VIA DELTA AND HOLD SHORT OF TXWY KILO. THE TAXI WAS BRIEFED AS 'DELTA HOLD SHORT OF TXWY KILO.' AS WE APCHED G6 INTXN AN MD88 WAS HOLDING SHORT OF THE RWY. THE ARPT PROFILE SHOWS TXWY DELTA CONTINUING AROUND THE CORNER AND STOPPING AT AN INTXN WITH TXWY NOVEMBER. WE CONTINUED AROUND THE CORNER SINCE NO SIGNAGE ADJACENT TO TXWY DELTA; PRIOR TO THE D6 INTXN; SHOWED AN INTXN WITH TXWY KILO. THERE WAS SIGNAGE FOR TXWY NOVEMBER AND PAPA; HOWEVER; THERE WAS ANOTHER ACFT TAXIING TO TXWY KILO TOWARDS THE RWY. SINCE WE HAD TURNED THE CORNER WE WOUND UP FACING EACH OTHER WHICH IS WHAT GND CTL WAS TRYING TO AVOID. LUCKILY THERE WAS ENOUGH ROOM FOR US TO PULL OVER TO THE L ON TXWY NOVEMBER AND ALLOW THE ACFT TO PASS. AS WE CONTINUED TO THE GATE WE SAW SIGNAGE FOR TXWY KILO ON THE N SIDE OF THE TXWY. PERHAPS THE MD88 HAD BLOCKED A SIGN FOR TXWY KILO AND WE COULDN'T SEE IT. BUT THE CHART FOR SDF IS A LITTLE MISLEADING.
