Narrative:

I had landed and taxied to my hangar. The airplane was stopped with engine running; tail pointing to my hangar door - nose pointing to another hangar. As I was preparing to shut down; the engine started to speed up. Retarding throttle had no effect; and full force on brakes couldn't stop plane. It went the few ft toward other hangar and the propeller hit the hangar door. This plane was just out of annual. This was apparently a mechanical or brake failing or a combination and it happened so quickly and without warning that I have no idea what preventive stops I could have taken. My mechanic has not yet determined any cause.
