Narrative:

We were on approach into ZZZ. When we selected gear down; we received a 'steer fail' message. We decided to go around and get vectors. When the gear came up on go around; the message cleared. We worked through the QRH and advised all appropriate facilities. The captain took over as PF and we declared an emergency. The fire trucks were standing by on runway. After landing we were able to taxi off the runway using differential braking and rudder. We sat parked on the taxiway waiting to get towed back to the gate. Maintenance came out to the airplane and advised us to reset the circuit breaker. After the circuit breaker reset; our steering control came back on. We were then able to taxi back to the gate without incident.
