Narrative:

I was approaching gate about 5 ft from stopping with single engine taxi at 1.1 EPR with good momentum. Suddenly the airplane stopped; bounced; and started rolling backwards. There were no obstacles inside the lines as I turned into the gate and there was no rut; upslope; or ridge on the ramp when I walked outside and looked. In my opinion the only thing that could do this is someone throwing a chock under my wheel while I was still moving. This created a very dangerous situation. People inside the airplane could have been hurt. People outside the airplane could have been hurt. The aircraft could have been damaged in a tail tip.
