Narrative:
I had just landed on runway 9L at ord. I was instructed to turn left on runway 32R; right on victor; taxi to the ramp. I turned left on runway 32R and I saw a taxiway where I thought victor should be; but the only signs I saw were do not enter signs on both sides of the taxiway (red background; white circle with a horizontal line through it). I continued to taxi without turning. The controller said that I had missed victor and gave me new taxi instructions. I figured I had just not seen it. I rechecked the airport diagram and was unsure how I had missed it. The next day I taxied out via victor from the other direction. As I turned to hold in position on runway 14L I looked and sure enough the only markings on the taxiway I had just left when going westbound is only marked with do not enter signs.
