Narrative:
I received a csc duats briefing for a VFR flight from fat to M45 at approximately XA30 on jun/sat/07. There were no tfr's in the briefing. En route; I was asked by ZOA if I was aware that M45 was closed and there was a 10 NM tfr (firefighting). I changed my destination and completed the flight without incident. Upon landing I checked for tfr's with a different online service and found the M45 closure. If it weren't for the heads up from the oakland controller I might have continued my flight into M45 and violated the tfr; not to mention creating a hazard for any firefighting aircraft in the vicinity. With the consolidation of FSS services currently underway; I suspect more pilots will rely on online briefing services. It is imperative that all of these services have current information.
