Narrative:
Departed runway 15 at bur. After takeoff; socal departure control issued us a right turn to 320 degrees and climb to 13000 ft at 250 KIAS. Passing 10000 ft in our climb while established on a 320 degree heading; socal told us to amend our assigned altitude to maintain 11000 ft and turn left to a heading of 250 degrees. Upon rolling out on our new assigned heading and altitude; I received a TCAS TA for an aircraft at my 10-11 O'clock position. ATC then issued us a right turn to 350 degrees. No more than a second or two later; I received a TCAS RA to descend followed immediately by another RA to climb. I immediately disconnected the autoplt and initiated a climbing right turn to avoid the traffic. My first officer advised ATC of the RA and subsequent altitude deviation and we were promptly assigned an altitude of 13000 ft and direct gmn VOR. Our altitude deviation was from an assigned altitude of 11000 ft to approximately 11800 ft.

Title: B737-700 RECEIVES TCAS RA ON CONFUSED DEP FROM BUR.
Narrative: DEPARTED RWY 15 AT BUR. AFTER TKOF; SOCAL DEP CTL ISSUED US A R TURN TO 320 DEGS AND CLB TO 13000 FT AT 250 KIAS. PASSING 10000 FT IN OUR CLB WHILE ESTABLISHED ON A 320 DEG HDG; SOCAL TOLD US TO AMEND OUR ASSIGNED ALT TO MAINTAIN 11000 FT AND TURN L TO A HDG OF 250 DEGS. UPON ROLLING OUT ON OUR NEW ASSIGNED HDG AND ALT; I RECEIVED A TCAS TA FOR AN ACFT AT MY 10-11 O'CLOCK POS. ATC THEN ISSUED US A R TURN TO 350 DEGS. NO MORE THAN A SECOND OR TWO LATER; I RECEIVED A TCAS RA TO DSND FOLLOWED IMMEDIATELY BY ANOTHER RA TO CLB. I IMMEDIATELY DISCONNECTED THE AUTOPLT AND INITIATED A CLBING R TURN TO AVOID THE TFC. MY FO ADVISED ATC OF THE RA AND SUBSEQUENT ALTDEV AND WE WERE PROMPTLY ASSIGNED AN ALT OF 13000 FT AND DIRECT GMN VOR. OUR ALTDEV WAS FROM AN ASSIGNED ALT OF 11000 FT TO APPROX 11800 FT.
