Narrative:
About 10 mins after takeoff the captain made the 1ST chime. I did my PA and got out of my jump seat to start my service. There was a sudden drop -- I thought we were experiencing turbulence since there had been WX in the area. I took may jump seat and seconds later the oxygen masks dropped. I got a call from a flight attendant in main cabin and she asked if we were having a decompression. I looked into the cabin and saw all the masks dropped and passenger putting on their masks. I made the decompression PA; turned the lights to bright; and then called the cockpit. The captain answered after a few seconds and asked if the masks dropped -- I said yes and the captain said stay on the masks we may be landing in ZZZ1. I went out in the cabin where the other flight attendants were assisting passenger and relayed the message. The captain called back and then said we were landing in ZZZ1 in 15 mins and we could take off the masks. He made a PA to the passenger. We started to get the cabin ready for landing when the captain called back and said we were too heavy and were going to burn fuel for 30 mins (he also was going to lower the landing gear and the flaps to help burn fuel). He made a PA to let the passenger know. We landed without incident. There were no injuries to passenger or crew. We were met by the agent; mechanics and ZZZ1 flight safety manager.

Title: B757 DIVERTS TO NEAREST ARPT AFTER SUFFERING A DECOMPRESSION DURING CLIMB OUT.
Narrative: ABOUT 10 MINS AFTER TKOF THE CAPT MADE THE 1ST CHIME. I DID MY PA AND GOT OUT OF MY JUMP SEAT TO START MY SVC. THERE WAS A SUDDEN DROP -- I THOUGHT WE WERE EXPERIENCING TURB SINCE THERE HAD BEEN WX IN THE AREA. I TOOK MAY JUMP SEAT AND SECONDS LATER THE OXYGEN MASKS DROPPED. I GOT A CALL FROM A FLT ATTENDANT IN MAIN CABIN AND SHE ASKED IF WE WERE HAVING A DECOMPRESSION. I LOOKED INTO THE CABIN AND SAW ALL THE MASKS DROPPED AND PAX PUTTING ON THEIR MASKS. I MADE THE DECOMPRESSION PA; TURNED THE LIGHTS TO BRIGHT; AND THEN CALLED THE COCKPIT. THE CAPT ANSWERED AFTER A FEW SECONDS AND ASKED IF THE MASKS DROPPED -- I SAID YES AND THE CAPT SAID STAY ON THE MASKS WE MAY BE LNDG IN ZZZ1. I WENT OUT IN THE CABIN WHERE THE OTHER FLT ATTENDANTS WERE ASSISTING PAX AND RELAYED THE MESSAGE. THE CAPT CALLED BACK AND THEN SAID WE WERE LNDG IN ZZZ1 IN 15 MINS AND WE COULD TAKE OFF THE MASKS. HE MADE A PA TO THE PAX. WE STARTED TO GET THE CABIN READY FOR LNDG WHEN THE CAPT CALLED BACK AND SAID WE WERE TOO HVY AND WERE GOING TO BURN FUEL FOR 30 MINS (HE ALSO WAS GOING TO LOWER THE LNDG GEAR AND THE FLAPS TO HELP BURN FUEL). HE MADE A PA TO LET THE PAX KNOW. WE LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO PAX OR CREW. WE WERE MET BY THE AGENT; MECHS AND ZZZ1 FLT SAFETY MANAGER.
