Narrative:

On an appropriate 4-5 mi final to runway 25L at las; we were hit with a ground-based laser on the airplane's right side. It appeared to me the first officer was hit in the face. She didn't appear to suffer any injuries with the event. The laser appeared to be green and originating from the ground in a residential area to the north side of the final approach course to runway 25L. Tower was immediately notified and dispatch was notified after landing. Don't point lasers at aircraft in flight!
