Narrative:
On approach into jfk; we were flying the VOR DME approach to runway 22L. In the vicinity of wugal; we experienced wake turbulence. The autopilot was engaged; and the aircraft rolled 45 degrees left wing down. The autopilot seemed to lag a little in countering the roll; so I disconnected the autopilot and rolled wings level. I reported the wake turbulence to tower and asked who we were following. An airbus 320 was on approach ahead of us; but was more than 3 miles ahead. An rj was above us; but shouldn't have been a factor. The flight attendant was standing in the galley at the time of the event; and later told us she felt pain in her neck and back. (As of this writing; she remained on duty.) the flight continued to jfk and landed normally.

Title: A CRJ 200 APCHING JFK BEHIND AN AIRBUS RECEIVED WAKE TURBULENCE. A FLT ATTENDANT WAS SLIGHTLY INJURED.
Narrative: ON APCH INTO JFK; WE WERE FLYING THE VOR DME APCH TO RWY 22L. IN THE VICINITY OF WUGAL; WE EXPERIENCED WAKE TURBULENCE. THE AUTOPILOT WAS ENGAGED; AND THE ACFT ROLLED 45 DEGREES LEFT WING DOWN. THE AUTOPILOT SEEMED TO LAG A LITTLE IN COUNTERING THE ROLL; SO I DISCONNECTED THE AUTOPILOT AND ROLLED WINGS LEVEL. I RPTED THE WAKE TURBULENCE TO TOWER AND ASKED WHO WE WERE FOLLOWING. AN AIRBUS 320 WAS ON APCH AHEAD OF US; BUT WAS MORE THAN 3 MILES AHEAD. AN RJ WAS ABOVE US; BUT SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN A FACTOR. THE FLT ATTENDANT WAS STANDING IN THE GALLEY AT THE TIME OF THE EVENT; AND LATER TOLD US SHE FELT PAIN IN HER NECK AND BACK. (AS OF THIS WRITING; SHE REMAINED ON DUTY.) THE FLT CONTINUED TO JFK AND LANDED NORMALLY.
