Narrative:

During the arrival into jax; due to incoming WX; we received a last min runway change from runway 7 to runway 25. ATC assigned a 210 KT speed and an altitude of 4000 ft for traffic; then cleared us for a visual approach to runway 25. After the clearance for the visual; we started slowing; descending; and configuring for a flaps 22 landing. Due to the altitude and airspeed; a stabilized approach was not achieved and a go around was initiated. Clean-up was accomplished; ATC cleared us for a left traffic pattern to return for an uneventful landing. Better communication between flight crew and ATC.
