Narrative:
Taxiway H is not marked in the gate area. There appears to be 2 taxiway H's now due to the new part of the international terminal airport being open. The lead-in lines for gates are not marked. It is unclr if the lead-in line is for gate X; Y; or Z. Contract marshallers did not have enough lighted wands as required by company policy. I would suggest that the airline implement a program to inform contract ramp personnel of company policies regarding wands required at night. I would recommend that txwys be marked and lead-in lines to specific gates have the proper lines marked with the gate numbers. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated that construction at sfo has resulted in confusing and duplicate taxiway markings. Apparently there are two taxiway lines painted as 'H' between the 'a' and 'B' concourses in sfo. He is not as concerned with the absence of gate markings for the lead-in lines; as this becomes more apparent as taxi progresses into the gate area.

Title: ACR CAPT REPORTS CONFUSING TAXIWAY MARKINGS AT SFO.
Narrative: TXWY H IS NOT MARKED IN THE GATE AREA. THERE APPEARS TO BE 2 TXWY H'S NOW DUE TO THE NEW PART OF THE INTL TERMINAL ARPT BEING OPEN. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE REPORTER STATED THAT CONSTRUCTION AT SFO HAS RESULTED IN CONFUSING AND DUPLICATE TAXIWAY MARKINGS.
