Narrative:
I needed to refuel the plane so I taxied it down from the FBO to the parking area near the fuel pump. At the time; it was raining; I parked the plane in the parking area because another plane was also refueling. After that plane finished fueling and started to taxi back; I got back in the plane and started the engine using the checklist; the fuel pump was to my right; so; I turned to right looking over to the right. Suddenly I heard a scream and looked towards the left for the source. I saw a man on the ground. He stood up; and I saw his hand was bleeding. I immediately cut power and switched off the engine; and went out to help. His hand was broken and there was blood all over his hand. I helped him into the plane and taxied back to the FBO. The staff there called for an ambulance and gave him first aid. After some time I spoke to him about how the accident happened. He told me he had slipped backwards and his hand hit the propeller. I told the same to the FBO staff and the local police at the airfield.
