Narrative:
Upon landing I heard a noise/rattling coming from the galley area. Soon after the passenger in the rear of the upper deck started commenting on something. That something was a galley cart that had come darting out of the galley and down the main aisle. It shot past me at my jumpseat location and then crashed into and breaching the cockpit door. As soon as it was safe I got up from my jumpseat and immediately went up to the cockpit; securing the area with the secondary restraint that was installed on this aircraft. Once the brakes were set I; with the assistance of the first officer; began to clean up the mess that had been made. My coworker in the upper deck made sure that the doors were disarmed properly while I was attending to the cockpit. The captain then instructed us to stop our cleaning as he would have ground service take over the cleaning process. I do not know how this happened as to the best of my knowledge the galley was secured properly for landing.
