Narrative:
After an am flight service call that ended after waiting more than 10 mins; I went on line to find out about WX and NOTAMS. I did not get a notice on a tfr at phl area. I departed at XA30 from our helicopter. Contacted abe approach control and was informed about a tfr problem. In short; if I had gotten through to flight service; I might have been advised about the tfr. Better advising on tfr's is needed.
