Narrative:
Was assigned #2 engine inspection that night. During inspection found light igniter lead conductor of evidence of arcing. Mechanic then replaced lead. Then I inspected routing of cable. Maintenance manual does not call for control air line disconnection for cable routing. So I was unaware line was disconnected. My focus of inspection was only the cable routing through engine to exciter box.

Narrative: WAS ASSIGNED #2 ENG INSPECTION THAT NIGHT. DURING INSPECTION FOUND LIGHT IGNITER LEAD CONDUCTOR OF EVIDENCE OF ARCING. MECH THEN REPLACED LEAD. THEN I INSPECTED ROUTING OF CABLE. MAINT MANUAL DOES NOT CALL FOR CTL AIR LINE DISCONNECTION FOR CABLE ROUTING. SO I WAS UNAWARE LINE WAS DISCONNECTED. MY FOCUS OF INSPECTION WAS ONLY THE CABLE ROUTING THROUGH ENG TO EXCITER BOX.
