Narrative:
B747-400. Level at 38000 ft. 20 mins into cruise the EICAS 'stabilizer trim unscheduled' illuminated. Performed QRH and continued. 20 mins later stabilizer trim unscheduled. Continued with QRH and consulted with company. Turned around and declared emergency. 'Stabilizer trim unscheduled' illuminated for the 3RD time and when autoplt was disconnected the aircraft pitched up. Hand flew to ZZZZ and landed.

Narrative: B747-400. LEVEL AT 38000 FT. 20 MINS INTO CRUISE THE EICAS 'STABILIZER TRIM UNSCHEDULED' ILLUMINATED. PERFORMED QRH AND CONTINUED. 20 MINS LATER STABILIZER TRIM UNSCHEDULED.
