Narrative:

I was removing a body panel #197BB to have access to replace the aft cargo pressure regulator and had a lift truck with removed rear stanchions and backed up to aircraft. Started removing fasteners and XXXX came out to help me remove the very large panel and XXXX lifted the lift truck to remove the upper fasteners and the module control unit struck the aircraft and put a hole in the panel #197GB. Mr X was able to defer the hole. Supplemental information from acn 768642: raising lift truck up; rails down was watching platform closest to aircraft and forgot about control box which another mechanic was standing in front of; blocking my view. It punctured the aircraft putting a hole in wing fuselage fillet panel.
