Narrative:
While waiting to be parked; short of the gate; with the parking brake set; a B777 taxiing wbound on taxiway a slightly clipped the right side of our tail with its right wingtip. My first officer immediately notified ground control; so they could notify the B777 that he struck us. The B777 then turned around and went back to his gate. Shortly after; our ground crew showed up and I pulled forward and parked the aircraft. Our incursion was so light that the B777 pilots had no idea they struck us. Also our passenger and our flight attendants were unaware of the event. There were no injuries on board; and only a small paint rub on our right side elevator fairing. I believe that the B777 pilots weren't paying any attention while taxiing. Obviously they didn't have the room to clear us. I stop whenever a potential conflict with another airplane is in question. Get our company to have ground personnel to be there when aircraft arrive at the gate instead of the other way around.

Title: EMB145 FLT CREW AWAITING MARSHAL OFF FINGER END AT ORD IS STRUCK LIGHTLY BY B777 ON TXWY A.
Narrative: WHILE WAITING TO BE PARKED; SHORT OF THE GATE; WITH THE PARKING BRAKE SET; A B777 TAXIING WBOUND ON TXWY A SLIGHTLY CLIPPED THE R SIDE OF OUR TAIL WITH ITS R WINGTIP. MY FO IMMEDIATELY NOTIFIED GND CTL; SO THEY COULD NOTIFY THE B777 THAT HE STRUCK US. THE B777 THEN TURNED AROUND AND WENT BACK TO HIS GATE. SHORTLY AFTER; OUR GND CREW SHOWED UP AND I PULLED FORWARD AND PARKED THE ACFT. OUR INCURSION WAS SO LIGHT THAT THE B777 PLTS HAD NO IDEA THEY STRUCK US. ALSO OUR PAX AND OUR FLT ATTENDANTS WERE UNAWARE OF THE EVENT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES ON BOARD; AND ONLY A SMALL PAINT RUB ON OUR R SIDE ELEVATOR FAIRING. I BELIEVE THAT THE B777 PLTS WEREN'T PAYING ANY ATTN WHILE TAXIING. OBVIOUSLY THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE ROOM TO CLR US. I STOP WHENEVER A POTENTIAL CONFLICT WITH ANOTHER AIRPLANE IS IN QUESTION. GET OUR COMPANY TO HAVE GND PERSONNEL TO BE THERE WHEN ACFT ARRIVE AT THE GATE INSTEAD OF THE OTHER WAY AROUND.
