Narrative:

After I announced; on CTAF; my departure on runway 27; I started applying power slowly due to colder temperatures. As I crossed runway 18/36 I noticed an ice patch ahead of me across runway 27. I stopped applying power and thought I would wait until after the ice to apply full power. When I reached the ice my cirrus SR22 turned 30 degrees left. I applied full right rudder with no result. I figured I was moving at about 50 KTS. When I realized I was going to hit the 3 ft snow banks; I pulled the throttle back and cut the engine just prior to impact. My plane suffered propeller; landing gear; and right wing damage. No one was hurt and no other plane was involved.
