Narrative:
While planning a flight I called FSS and obtained a WX briefing; also specifically asked if R-2910 was going to be hot or cold today. The briefer stated that R-2910 was cold. We took off and headed to dab with our route right through R-2910; along with 4 other airplanes. Upon landing at dab I was instructed to contact jax approach. When I called jax approach; I was notified that R-2910 was hot and that I busted airspace along with 4 other airplanes in my convoy. The problem was obviously caused by faulty information given by a professional briefer which caused confusion among 5 experienced pilots. This could have been prevented if the briefer were to give accurate information and also if I had called jax approach (the controling agency) for the restr airspace information while in-flight.

Title: PLTS OF SEVERAL ACFT RECEIVE FSS BRIEFING ADVISING THEM R2910 WAS INACTIVE. ALL FLY THROUGH THE AREA AND ARE TOLD TO CONTACT THE CENTER TO EXPLAIN THEIR INTRUSION INTO ACTIVE RESTRICTED AIRSPACE.
Narrative: WHILE PLANNING A FLT I CALLED FSS AND OBTAINED A WX BRIEFING; ALSO SPECIFICALLY ASKED IF R-2910 WAS GOING TO BE HOT OR COLD TODAY. THE BRIEFER STATED THAT R-2910 WAS COLD. WE TOOK OFF AND HEADED TO DAB WITH OUR RTE RIGHT THROUGH R-2910; ALONG WITH 4 OTHER AIRPLANES. UPON LNDG AT DAB I WAS INSTRUCTED TO CONTACT JAX APCH. WHEN I CALLED JAX APCH; I WAS NOTIFIED THAT R-2910 WAS HOT AND THAT I BUSTED AIRSPACE ALONG WITH 4 OTHER AIRPLANES IN MY CONVOY. THE PROB WAS OBVIOUSLY CAUSED BY FAULTY INFO GIVEN BY A PROFESSIONAL BRIEFER WHICH CAUSED CONFUSION AMONG 5 EXPERIENCED PLTS. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED IF THE BRIEFER WERE TO GIVE ACCURATE INFO AND ALSO IF I HAD CALLED JAX APCH (THE CTLING AGENCY) FOR THE RESTR AIRSPACE INFO WHILE INFLT.
