Narrative:
Uret (user request evaluation tool -- primary flight plan information source for en route controllers) does not show the same information that host computer shows. Aircraft was routed by swann JAIKE1 arrival to teb. The uret indicated that he had been cleared swann dqo with more routing 'not' on the jaike arrival. Verbal coordination indicated the aircraft had in fact received the arrival. I tried to apply the arrival so the computer would indicate the proper route; but received 'amendment formatting failed; cannot convert;' which meant uret still showed the dqo route. At some point after that attempt and the aircraft's descent; the uret changed the route to the jaike arrival without any controller action or notification. At some point; not knowing the actual clearance of an aircraft could lead to accident or error.

Title: ZDC CTLR EXPRESSED CONCERN REGARDING A URET ANOMALY THAT ALLEGEDLY DISPLAYS INFO THAT DIFFERS FROM THAT CONTAINED IN THE HOST COMPUTER.
Narrative: URET (USER REQUEST EVALUATION TOOL -- PRIMARY FLT PLAN INFO SOURCE FOR ENRTE CTLRS) DOES NOT SHOW THE SAME INFO THAT HOST COMPUTER SHOWS. ACFT WAS ROUTED BY SWANN JAIKE1 ARR TO TEB. THE URET INDICATED THAT HE HAD BEEN CLRED SWANN DQO WITH MORE ROUTING 'NOT' ON THE JAIKE ARR. VERBAL COORD INDICATED THE ACFT HAD IN FACT RECEIVED THE ARR. I TRIED TO APPLY THE ARR SO THE COMPUTER WOULD INDICATE THE PROPER RTE; BUT RECEIVED 'AMENDMENT FORMATTING FAILED; CANNOT CONVERT;' WHICH MEANT URET STILL SHOWED THE DQO RTE. AT SOME POINT AFTER THAT ATTEMPT AND THE ACFT'S DSCNT; THE URET CHANGED THE RTE TO THE JAIKE ARR WITHOUT ANY CTLR ACTION OR NOTIFICATION. AT SOME POINT; NOT KNOWING THE ACTUAL CLRNC OF AN ACFT COULD LEAD TO ACCIDENT OR ERROR.
