Narrative:

I was working the radar position of R17 that night. It was extremely busy due to the great number of thunderstorm activity across southern and central florida. The sector below mine (hobee R02) was busy as well with both having a d-side and a tracker on the sector. I was told to rerte all aircraft away from the sector except aircraft landing palm beach. There was no intrail coming from ZJX and I only had a d-side working with me to help with all the rertes for the miami; fort lauderdale; and the other aircraft landing in southwest florida. Half of my airspace was consumed by WX and no aircraft were flying through it. I was so busy that it was difficult for me to catch my breath at one point with all the talking I was doing to just keep the aircraft separated. I was so busy during that point when I had an aircraft report severe turbulence but I didn't have a chance to find out who or where he was or else I would have had 2 or more aircraft come together. The situation got out of hand on how many aircraft I was working and the complexity of the sector. I should have been able to find out which aircraft reported the severe turbulence had there been given a stop or slowing down the aircraft coming into the sector. I felt bad once again approximately 45 mins later when an aircraft asked about the 'report' of the severe turbulence and I was unable to provide him with the information. I had worked this position for approximately 2 hours 45 mins straight before being moved to another position's d-side for another 45 mins. I don't know what else could've been done. I did everything to the best of my abilities. I just wish that I could have done better.

Title: ZMA CTLR DESCRIBED VERY BUSY/COMPLEX TFC PERIOD WITH WX FACTORS WHEN TURBULENCE WAS NOT ID/FORWARDED BECAUSE OF WORKLOAD CONSTRAINTS.

Narrative: I WAS WORKING THE RADAR POS OF R17 THAT NIGHT. IT WAS EXTREMELY BUSY DUE TO THE GREAT NUMBER OF TSTM ACTIVITY ACROSS SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL FLORIDA. THE SECTOR BELOW MINE (HOBEE R02) WAS BUSY AS WELL WITH BOTH HAVING A D-SIDE AND A TRACKER ON THE SECTOR. I WAS TOLD TO RERTE ALL ACFT AWAY FROM THE SECTOR EXCEPT ACFT LNDG PALM BEACH. THERE WAS NO INTRAIL COMING FROM ZJX AND I ONLY HAD A D-SIDE WORKING WITH ME TO HELP WITH ALL THE RERTES FOR THE MIAMI; FORT LAUDERDALE; AND THE OTHER ACFT LNDG IN SW FLORIDA. HALF OF MY AIRSPACE WAS CONSUMED BY WX AND NO ACFT WERE FLYING THROUGH IT. I WAS SO BUSY THAT IT WAS DIFFICULT FOR ME TO CATCH MY BREATH AT ONE POINT WITH ALL THE TALKING I WAS DOING TO JUST KEEP THE ACFT SEPARATED. I WAS SO BUSY DURING THAT POINT WHEN I HAD AN ACFT RPT SEVERE TURB BUT I DIDN'T HAVE A CHANCE TO FIND OUT WHO OR WHERE HE WAS OR ELSE I WOULD HAVE HAD 2 OR MORE ACFT COME TOGETHER. THE SITUATION GOT OUT OF HAND ON HOW MANY ACFT I WAS WORKING AND THE COMPLEXITY OF THE SECTOR. I SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO FIND OUT WHICH ACFT RPTED THE SEVERE TURB HAD THERE BEEN GIVEN A STOP OR SLOWING DOWN THE ACFT COMING INTO THE SECTOR. I FELT BAD ONCE AGAIN APPROX 45 MINS LATER WHEN AN ACFT ASKED ABOUT THE 'RPT' OF THE SEVERE TURB AND I WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE HIM WITH THE INFO. I HAD WORKED THIS POS FOR APPROX 2 HRS 45 MINS STRAIGHT BEFORE BEING MOVED TO ANOTHER POSITION'S D-SIDE FOR ANOTHER 45 MINS. I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE COULD'VE BEEN DONE. I DID EVERYTHING TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITIES. I JUST WISH THAT I COULD HAVE DONE BETTER.
