Narrative:
Entering holding at abc; FL300; heading 260 degrees; direct entry; right turn. Pattern: hold at abc southeast on 150 degree radial; right turns; 20 mi legs; efc XA00. Autoplt and autothrottles engaged in LNAV; VNAV; speed intervene at 230 KIAS. Calculated minimum clean speed 210 KIAS. During entry turn; pilots were distraction momentarily by communications (changes to holding); WX; and planning for possible diversion. Autothrottles failed to maintain airspeed and pilots were not aware of rapid airspeed decay to 200 KIAS until stick shaker activated. PF disconnected autoplt and autothrottles; rolled wings level; and added power. During recovery; aircraft climbed 300 ft for approximately 10 seconds before returning to FL300. Holding airspace limits may have been momentarily exceeded during entry. Deteriorating WX in the holding area required modification of holding pattern and finally moving to another holding pattern further east.

Title: A B767 ENTERED HOLDING AT FL300. WITH AUTOTHROTTLES ON; THE ACFT SLOWED TO STALL WARNING SPD. CREW CLBED 300 FT WHILE RECOVERING.
Narrative: ENTERING HOLDING AT ABC; FL300; HDG 260 DEGS; DIRECT ENTRY; R TURN. PATTERN: HOLD AT ABC SE ON 150 DEG RADIAL; R TURNS; 20 MI LEGS; EFC XA00. AUTOPLT AND AUTOTHROTTLES ENGAGED IN LNAV; VNAV; SPD INTERVENE AT 230 KIAS. CALCULATED MINIMUM CLEAN SPD 210 KIAS. DURING ENTRY TURN; PLTS WERE DISTR MOMENTARILY BY COMS (CHANGES TO HOLDING); WX; AND PLANNING FOR POSSIBLE DIVERSION. AUTOTHROTTLES FAILED TO MAINTAIN AIRSPD AND PLTS WERE NOT AWARE OF RAPID AIRSPD DECAY TO 200 KIAS UNTIL STICK SHAKER ACTIVATED. PF DISCONNECTED AUTOPLT AND AUTOTHROTTLES; ROLLED WINGS LEVEL; AND ADDED PWR. DURING RECOVERY; ACFT CLBED 300 FT FOR APPROX 10 SECONDS BEFORE RETURNING TO FL300. HOLDING AIRSPACE LIMITS MAY HAVE BEEN MOMENTARILY EXCEEDED DURING ENTRY. DETERIORATING WX IN THE HOLDING AREA REQUIRED MODIFICATION OF HOLDING PATTERN AND FINALLY MOVING TO ANOTHER HOLDING PATTERN FURTHER E.
