Narrative:
Flight to ZZZ ended with off-airport landing 2 mi short of runway as a precaution due to fuel cavitation. A leak was repaired a few months back. Upon landing; maintenance was notified and leak source repaired. Upon landing at ZZZ; new damage to propeller noted from takeoff in soft field.

Title: PA38 LANDS OFF ARPT DUE TO CAVITATING FUEL.
Narrative: FLT TO ZZZ ENDED WITH OFF-ARPT LNDG 2 MI SHORT OF RWY AS A PRECAUTION DUE TO FUEL CAVITATION. A LEAK WAS REPAIRED A FEW MONTHS BACK. UPON LNDG; MAINT WAS NOTIFIED AND LEAK SOURCE REPAIRED. UPON LNDG AT ZZZ; NEW DAMAGE TO PROP NOTED FROM TKOF IN SOFT FIELD.
