Narrative:
While working the arrival 5 (AR5) position; I descended a B737 on the localizer for runway 13R to 3000 ft. The meacham north controller had a king air nwbound at 3000 ft which would have put the BE20 behind the B737. The meacham north controller was trying to accomplish a manual handoff to ZFW frisco sector. The frisco sector was not answering the landline so I was trying to help the meacham north controller out by looking up the dial code for the frisco sector; and did not hear the meacham north controller turn the BE20 nebound. I noticed the error occurring and tried to stop the B737 at 4000 ft; but they did not answer or they said say again I cannot recall. Many controllers in this facility have been working 6 day weeks as I have; due to the accelerated retirements of controllers and are becoming fatigued; and I believe that fatigue contributed to this operational error.

Title: D10 CTLR DESCRIBED OPERROR AT 3500 FT WHEN ASSISTING FELLOW CTLR WITH COORD EFFORT AND FAILING TO HEAR CLRNC THAT RESULTING IN ERROR.
Narrative: WHILE WORKING THE ARR 5 (AR5) POS; I DSNDED A B737 ON THE LOC FOR RWY 13R TO 3000 FT. THE MEACHAM N CTLR HAD A KING AIR NWBOUND AT 3000 FT WHICH WOULD HAVE PUT THE BE20 BEHIND THE B737. THE MEACHAM N CTLR WAS TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH A MANUAL HDOF TO ZFW FRISCO SECTOR. THE FRISCO SECTOR WAS NOT ANSWERING THE LANDLINE SO I WAS TRYING TO HELP THE MEACHAM N CTLR OUT BY LOOKING UP THE DIAL CODE FOR THE FRISCO SECTOR; AND DID NOT HEAR THE MEACHAM N CTLR TURN THE BE20 NEBOUND. I NOTICED THE ERROR OCCURRING AND TRIED TO STOP THE B737 AT 4000 FT; BUT THEY DID NOT ANSWER OR THEY SAID SAY AGAIN I CANNOT RECALL. MANY CTLRS IN THIS FACILITY HAVE BEEN WORKING 6 DAY WKS AS I HAVE; DUE TO THE ACCELERATED RETIREMENTS OF CTLRS AND ARE BECOMING FATIGUED; AND I BELIEVE THAT FATIGUE CONTRIBUTED TO THIS OPERROR.
