Narrative:
After takeoff; with captain as PF in IMC; we received handoff to departure control; and were told to climb to 13000 ft; then later to turn left heading 090 degrees from the runway heading of 225 degrees. Executing the turn; we lost #1 generator; and captain lost primary flight and navigation displays. Captain leveled airplane and concentrated on aircraft control using standby instruments. Approximately heading 170 degrees. Executed the ECAM item for the generator fault; and lost #1 yaw damper; #1 pitch trim; autoplt; flight director; window heat; and other system. We established the APU generator on line; and were preparing to advise ATC of our situation when we were queried as to our heading; and received instructions to turn immediately to 090 degree heading. We reported the loss of electrical power and system degradation; and turned immediately to the 090 degree heading. We completed the checklists and restored all system except the failed generator; and continued uneventfully to ZZZ.
