Narrative:

During taxi in at ord; the captain directed me to shut down engine #2. The #2 generator was turned off on his command and the airplane was configured as per SOP. About 30 seconds after the engine was shut down; there was an audible power spike and ECAM AC bus #1 and #2 failure. The captain immediately stopped the aircraft. Seconds later the ECAM disappeared and the electrical system was back to normal. The captain stated that he was concerned about the potential loss of nosewheel steering and normal braking if it happened again. He then directed me to notify ord ground and ramp control that we would need to be towed in to the gate. Shortly after completing these tasks; we again received an ECAM AC bus #1 and #2 fault; along with various electrical failures. We were towed in to the gate uneventfully after sitting on the taxiway for about 15 mins.
