Narrative:
At the gate in slc we were filed via the ffu 6 departure outbound. This is a south departure and slc was departing north. This is a common and irritating occurrence. While we waited for the pre departure clearance (our automated clearance) we received our fuel slip; the final paperwork and a jumpseater. I pulled up the pre departure clearance and saw the edeth 1 departure and notified the captain who was the PF. Neither of us noticed the added fix of beryl then to the bld VOR. The captain changed the departure to edeth 1; changed the runway and left the rest of the route. Once we got on center frequency they asked which fix we were flying to. We said bld. We should have been flying to beryl first due to military airspace. In hindsight: 1) slow down. Don't get rushed out of the norm by jumpseaters. Etc. 2) verify whole clearance. Again going too fast. 3) both pilots make sure of clearance and read pre departure clearance. 4) avoid complacency. We were expecting the departure change but not the added fix.

Title: B757 FLT CREW FAILS TO NOTE ASSIGNED TRANSITION ON THE PDC WHEN ENTERING REVISED DEP INTO THE FMS AND HAS COURSE DEV.
Narrative: AT THE GATE IN SLC WE WERE FILED VIA THE FFU 6 DEP OUTBOUND. THIS IS A SOUTH DEP AND SLC WAS DEPARTING N. THIS IS A COMMON AND IRRITATING OCCURRENCE. WHILE WE WAITED FOR THE PDC (OUR AUTOMATED CLRNC) WE RECEIVED OUR FUEL SLIP; THE FINAL PAPERWORK AND A JUMPSEATER. I PULLED UP THE PDC AND SAW THE EDETH 1 DEP AND NOTIFIED THE CAPT WHO WAS THE PF. NEITHER OF US NOTICED THE ADDED FIX OF BERYL THEN TO THE BLD VOR. THE CAPT CHANGED THE DEP TO EDETH 1; CHANGED THE RWY AND LEFT THE REST OF THE RTE. ONCE WE GOT ON CENTER FREQ THEY ASKED WHICH FIX WE WERE FLYING TO. WE SAID BLD. WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN FLYING TO BERYL FIRST DUE TO MILITARY AIRSPACE. IN HINDSIGHT: 1) SLOW DOWN. DON'T GET RUSHED OUT OF THE NORM BY JUMPSEATERS. ETC. 2) VERIFY WHOLE CLRNC. AGAIN GOING TOO FAST. 3) BOTH PLTS MAKE SURE OF CLRNC AND READ PDC. 4) AVOID COMPLACENCY. WE WERE EXPECTING THE DEP CHANGE BUT NOT THE ADDED FIX.
