Narrative:
On the day of my commercial check ride; I was coming in to land in PA34-200 after clearance to touch-and-go. On the final for runway xxr; I did the approach checklist; before landing checklist; and verified 3 greens with the examiner and was maintaining an airspeed of 95-100 KTS. As soon as we touched down; the nose gear of the airplane collapsed on the runway and the aircraft skidded for about 300 ft before stopping on the runway. All the maintenance logs were thoroughly checked and preflight was done before going for the flight.
