Narrative:
I was departing runway xx when the damage occurred. On my takeoff roll; approximately 45-50 KTS; I felt a pull to the right and almost immediately after this the left wing lifted and the plane moved to the right. I started a correction to the left as the right wing continued to fall closer to the runway and the wingtip skidded with the runway surface. My control inputs caused the right wing to rise and the plane turned to the left. I pulled out the power; continued to apply control inputs in an effort to right the aircraft and applied light braking action. The plane rolled forward and came to rest. The total distance from the starting roll to no motion was less than 1000 ft. I am not sure why the plane pulled to the right; possibly a sticky brake. Also I believe that I may have encountered a gusty crosswind from the left. I noticed after I was out of the plane the windsock appeared to be in a different location to the runway than it was when I had passed it on my taxi to runway xx. The windsock after the incident was indicating a left crosswind to the runway.

Title: PLT OF C185 LOSES CONTROL OF ACFT ON TKOF ROLL. REJECTS TKOF SAFELY.
Narrative: I WAS DEPARTING RWY XX WHEN THE DAMAGE OCCURRED. ON MY TKOF ROLL; APPROX 45-50 KTS; I FELT A PULL TO THE R AND ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AFTER THIS THE L WING LIFTED AND THE PLANE MOVED TO THE R. I STARTED A CORRECTION TO THE L AS THE R WING CONTINUED TO FALL CLOSER TO THE RWY AND THE WINGTIP SKIDDED WITH THE RWY SURFACE. MY CTL INPUTS CAUSED THE R WING TO RISE AND THE PLANE TURNED TO THE L. I PULLED OUT THE PWR; CONTINUED TO APPLY CTL INPUTS IN AN EFFORT TO RIGHT THE ACFT AND APPLIED LIGHT BRAKING ACTION. THE PLANE ROLLED FORWARD AND CAME TO REST. THE TOTAL DISTANCE FROM THE STARTING ROLL TO NO MOTION WAS LESS THAN 1000 FT. I AM NOT SURE WHY THE PLANE PULLED TO THE R; POSSIBLY A STICKY BRAKE.
