Narrative:
When we landed we stopped short of the gate and the captain came on and said that there was a plane occupying our gate and would not be backing away for 15 mins so he was going to set the parking brake and allow people to move about the cabin and go to lavatory; etc. So there went the whole 'cabin ready' process so when we finally moved again we had to re-prepare the cabin then we had people late and stressing about misconnections and the agent was right on top of us as soon as we parked and I had people standing right on top of me ready to run for flts. I turned to disarm 1-R and the agent was there and people were crowding the door and at the same time I found out that instead of keeping the same plane for our next leg like we were supposed to; we had a plane change with at that time only 45 until departure time. So I had 2 cabin preps; misconnects; a quick csr; an unplanned plane change; and very short connection time. I inadvertently wound up leaving 1-R armed. It was the typical 'too much going on at one time' ordeal. I never really understood it until now. The situation was dire but the outbound crew was also waiting on the jetbridge and the flight attendants disarmed it before catering came.
