Narrative:

We had just landed and were taxiing into the alleyway in lax for parking at our gate. We had completed about 75 degrees of turn when I was given the emergency stop by the marshaller and the first officer yelled stop at the same time. An air carrier X passenger van drove between the aircraft and the marshaller at a high rate of speed. If I had not stopped; the van would have impacted the aircraft. The van did not stop. I was not able to get an identifiable number from the van. After the van had cleared; and a deep breath; the rest of the parking evolution went uneventfully.
