Narrative:
After briefing in eddf; several members of the crew went to the grocery store in terminal to grab a few items. Purser and another flight attendant left their crew bags at the front of the store while off shopping. Approximately 20 mins passed while bags were unattended. When my flying partner was done with her shopping; she went outside to the front of the store (our prearranged meeting spot) and stopped a security guard from hauling away the purser's and other flight attendants' suitcases and tote bags. I confronted the purser about his appalling disregard for security. He didn't see anything wrong with his actions. I suggested to both flight attendants they check for strange items in their bags. Both thought I was extreme. The purser ultimately went through his bags checking for added or missing items. This whole event was shocking to me.
